Hunter Crossing takes it's name from a piece of Nevada history. It's the site of the first railroad robbery in the western United States, just east of Verdi, NV and just down the hill from bass player, Joyce Furlong's house. The story has it that the robbers took $40,000 in gold coins from the train. They were caught and all but 150 of the coins were recovered. Many treasure hunters have searched the hills around Hunter Crossing for the missing loot. There's got to be a song there somewhere.
