Mountain Music Parlor
735 S. Center St. Reno
775-843-5500
NNBA is proud to partner with Reno's only music venue that specializes in traditional music -- instruction, performance and a gorgeous selection of instruments and accessories. The building itself -- built in 1908 -- is a historic landmark in the historic Mid Town District. Whether you're out pickin' on the porch, enjoying a concert in their intimate Recital Hall, or taking a banjo, mountain dulcimer, or fiddle lesson*, you'll feel the spirit of the music.
*many other instruments are taught here, too!
Owners Renee and Donald Lauderback will be there to welcome you (as will Ladybug, who likes to have her butt scratched). They graciously open their doors for our community, hosting jams, workshops and concerts. Get on their email list here, to get early notice of all their amazing events!
For nearly 10 years, Mountain Music Parlor has been keeping the flame of traditional music alive in northern Nevada, presenting touring and local musicians, teaching students of all ages, and hosting countless jams and workshops.
There aren't too many places like the Mountain Music Parlor left on this earth. Authentic. Filled with music and love. And everyone is welcome.
Come on down and sit a spell on the porch (or in the kitchen) anytime!
A little journey back 10 years or so, to when the Mountain Music Parlor came to be!
